Ifat is a licensed clinical psychologist working in private practice in the Los Angeles area, California. Dr. Peled served as adjunct faculty at Burlington College, Vermont, where she taught Human Development, Adolescence Development and Psychopathology from a depth and Jungian perspective and at the psychology department at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. She is currently teaching in the M.A. Counseling program at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Dr. Peled has given presentations and led training workshops on such topics as Eroticism in the thearpy room, transference and countertransference, narcissistic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, dreams, and working with the unconscious in the therapy room. She also supervises at Counseling West, a mental health community clinic.
Dr. Peled has been involved in education for many years and served as a board member in the Board of Trustees of Highland Hall, Waldof School, offering education based on the philosophies of Rodulf Stiener and Carl Jung. Her dissertation concentrated working with borderline patients. She also has contributed her published review to the text book for university students by Myers & DeWall’s, Psychology in Everyday Life, 4th edition, specifically the section on therapeutic modalities.
Her interests include research, understanding and treating trauma and personality disorders from a depth perspective, and understanding human experiences and development from a personal, cultural, and neurological perspectives. She is also interested in using various methods to reconnect the soul and spirit back to the collective, to nature, and to wildlife.
In addition to managing her private practice, Dr. Peled presently teaches in the psychology department at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. She also teaches in the M.A. Counseling program here at Pacifica, where she leads the Clinical Practice class for second year students and anchors the Introduction to the Theories of the Depth Tradition for first year students in tracks C and D.
