Brian is a member of Pacifica’s Adjunct Faculty in the M.A. Counseling Psychology department. He is a native Angeleno, having grown-up in the 1970s in an impoverished ghetto of suburban Los Angeles as a gay man, Brian has been a gay psychological activist for many years. His clinical focus is on issues pertaining to the LGBT population from a gay-affirmative psychodynamic Jungian orientation. Brian has a special interest in helping to develop a gay-affirmative myth and archetypal understanding of homosexuality.

He is also a graduate of a two-year intensive Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the in West Los Angeles, where he has also been a guest lecturer on gay love and sexuality in the psychoanalytic situation. Brian is a member of , a Psychotherapy Affiliate Member of the New Center for Psychoanalysis and a member of the .

Additionally, Brian is involved in an intensive gay-centered psychoanalytic training program with the in Hollywood, California. Brian received his B.A in French language and literature from the University of California, Irvine.  His interests include social justice, diversity, gay-centered psychology and practice, LGBTQ history, archetypes, fairy tales, and myth that support and foster homosexual individuation.
