So after a day of food tasting, I had an audition right afterwards, so I decided to walk the 8 long blocks there. I like to walk (it’s exercise, and also, it saves me money on my metrocard). My friend and co-worker, Eli, accompanied me to my audition (I think it went well but who knows? Hopefully they liked me). We were starving, so Eli recommended this little Italian sandwich shop on Mulberry Street. She said she have the best sandwiches there, so I had to try it.
It’s a little far from the train station but luckily, it was a
nice day. This little restaurant is called “Torrisi Italian Specialties NY.” I thought the restaurant was really cute inside, deli style with a few tables. Eli and I shared a hero with house roasted turkey with provolone and house spicy pepper paste. The pepper paste was a little too spicy but the turkey was really good. Overall, the roasted turkey hero was good but a little expensive. If I was in the neighborhood, I would probably grab a bite from there but I would not go out of my way.
